An Ecojet Avro RJ-85, registration CP-2814 performing flight 8J-740 from Trinidad to Riberalta (Bolivia) with 73 people on board, landed on Riberalta's runway 32 at 10:11L (14:11Z) and slowed. When the crew attempted to turn the aircraft on the runway to backtrack to the terminal the nose gear went off the left edge of the runway and came to a stop on soft ground. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained no damage.

The aircraft was able to return to service about 75 minutes after landing.

The airport reported there was a problem with a tyre.

The airline reported the aircraft was already at taxi speed when the crew attempted to turn the aircraft around to backtrack to the terminal, however, the runway was wet and the aircraft skidded. The crew shut the aircraft down, passengers disembarked onto the runway, the cargo was unloaded to reduce weight to return the nose gear onto paved surface.
