A Horizon Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400 on behalf of Alaska Airlines, registration N451QX performing flight QX-417/AS-2417 from Portland,OR to Boise,ID (USA), was on final approach to Boise's runway 10R when a bird impacted the aircraft. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on the runway about 2 minutes later.

The FAA reported the aircraft received minor damage to a probe.

The aircraft was able to depart for the return flight about 50 minutes after landing.
