An Air France Boeing 777-200, registration F-GSPA performing flight AF-852 from Paris Orly (France) to Cayenne (French Guiana), was departing Orly's runway 24 when the left hand engine (GE90) suffered a compressor stall prompting the crew to level off at 6000 feet and enter a hold dumping fuel. The crew, in consultation with dispatch, subsequently decided to divert to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and landed safely on CDG's runway 27L about one hour after departure.

A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration F-GSPM departed Paris Charles de Gaulle with a delay of 5 hours.

The airline reported the aircraft suffered a compressor stall on departure and diverted to Charles de Gaulle, the aircraft dumped fuel.
