A West Air Sweden British Aerospace ATP, registration SE-LNX performing freight flight SWN-72T from Oslo to Trondheim (Norway), was climbing out of Oslo's runway 19R when the crew stopped the climb at about 3000 feet declaring Mayday reporting an engine (PW126) failure. The aircraft returned to Oslo but needed to abort the approach being unable to intercept the localizer for runway 01R and a swing over to runway 01L failing due to being too high, the aircraft overflew the aerodrome and positioned for a second approach this time to runway 01L and landed safely back.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Oslo 24 hours after landing.
