A Lufthansa Airbus A380-800, registration D-AIMB performing flight LH-711 from Tokyo Narita (Japan) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany) was on final approach to Frankfurt's runway 25C descending through about 1000 feet MSL when the crew initiated a go-around due to a hydraulic problem and related failure of nose gear steering and climbed back to 5000 feet. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 25C, landed safely about 20 minutes later with emergency services on stand by and stopped on the runway.

The aircraft was subsequently towed off the runway.
