A Qatar Airways Boeing 787-800, registration A7-BDB performing flight QR-1367 from Johannesburg to Durban (South Africa), was on approach to Durban's runway 06 when a bird impacted the nose of the aircraft. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on the runway.

The aircraft remained on the ground for 31 hours, then departed as positioning flight QR-3272 to Qatar and remained on the ground for another 6 hours before resuming service.
