An Air North Boeing 737-400, registration C-FANB performing flight 4N-505 from Whitehorse,YT to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 130 people on board, was on final approach to Vancouver's runway 26R when the crew reported a strong smell of smoke in the cockpit and requested emergency services on standby. The aircraft continued for a safe landing and taxied to the gate, where the passengers disembarked normally.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the left hand pack to be faulty.
