A Lufthansa Airbus A321-200, registration D-AISV performing flight LH-1290 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Bodrum (Turkey), was enroute at FL330 about 20nm north of Pristina (Kosovo) when the crew decided to turn around and divert to Munich (Germany) after the captain's windshield cracked. The aircraft climbed to FL340 for the return and landed safely in Munich about 90 minutes after turning around.

The passengers were taken to hotels.

A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration D-AIDT departed the following morning and reached Bodrum with a delay of 18 hours.
