A Boliviana de Aviacion Boeing 737-300, registration CP-2716 performing flight OB-442 from La Paz to Cochabamba (Bolivia), was climbing out of La Paz when the crew stopped the climb at FL160 when the cabin did not properly pressurize. The aircraft returned to La Paz for a safe landing.

A replacement Boeing 737-300 registration CP-3019 reached Cochabamba with a delay of 4 hours.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 8 hours, then positioned to Cochabamba, but remained on the ground in Cochabamba for another 13 hours before resuming service.
