A Flydubai Boeing 737-800, registration A6-FEA performing flight FZ-728 from Kiev Zhuliany (Ukraine) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was climbing through FL270 out of Kiev when the crew requested to descend reporting problems on board. The crew subsequently advised they were having a door seal problem, needed to descend to FL110 and return to Kiev. The aircraft performed a rapid descent to FL110, burned off fuel and returned to Kiev's Zhuliany Airport for a safe landing 2:40 hours after departure.

Ukraine's NBAAI opened an investigation into the occurrence.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 15 hours, then was able to depart again the following morning and reached Dubai with a delay of about 17.5 hours.
