A Rusline Canadair CRJ-200, registration VQ-BFB performing flight 7R-424 from Lipetsk to Sochi (Russia) with 50 people on board, was climbing out of Lipetsk when the crew decided to return to Lipetsk due to an engine failure and shut the engine down. The aircraft landed safely back.

A replacement CRJ-100 registration VP-BMK reached Sochi with a delay of 4 hours.
