A Spicejet Boeing 737-800, registration VT-SGY performing flight SG-14 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Ahmedabad (India) with 179 passengers and 6 crew, departed Dubai's runway 30R and was climbing out of Dubai when the crew stopped the climb at FL270 after receiving information that one of the aircraft's tyres probably was damaged. The aircraft entered a hold for about one hour, then diverted to Dubai's Maktoum Airport for two low approaches to runway 12 to have the gear inspected. The aircraft subsequently landed safely on Maktoum Airport's runway 12 about 2:15 hours after departure.
