A Gol Transportes Aereos Boeing 737-800 in Smiles Logo Paint Scheme, registration PR-GIT performing flight G3-4847 from Porto Alegre,RS to Curitiba,PR (Brazil) with 32 passengers, rejected takeoff from Porto Alegre due to a problem with the left hand engine. The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers rebooked on another flight.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours, then positioned to Rio de Janeiro,RJ (Brazil) and resumed service.
