A Latam (merger of LAN and TAM) Airbus A320-200, registration PR-MYS performing flight JJ-3527 from Porto Velho,RO to Brasilia,DF (Brazil), was climbing out of Porto Velho's runway 01 when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet after an engine (CFM56) ingested a bird resulting in serious vibrations and strange engine noises. The crew shut the engine down and returned to Porto Velho for a safe landing on runway 01 about 25 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the aircraft collided with a bird shortly after takeoff and returned to Porto Velho.
