A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DPB performing flight FR-554 from Dublin (Ireland) to Manchester,EN (UK) wit 177 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Dublin's runway 10 when the crew stopped the climb at FL090 due to a flaps problem. The aircraft returned to Dublin for a safe landing on runway 10 at high speed (186 knots over ground on touchdown) about 25 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the flight to Manchester returned to Dublin following a minor technical issue. The passengers were taken to Manchester on a replacement aircraft. The occurrence aircraft was inspected by maintenance, who returned the aircraft to service.

The occurrence aircraft resumed service about 3 hours after landing back.
