Jazz DH8C at Portland on Apr 28th 2016, all gear indicated unsafe

A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-GKTA performing flight QK-8127 from Vancouver,BC (Canada) to Portland,OR (USA) with 49 people on board, was on approach to Portland. When the crew selected the gear down, all three landing gear door lights illuminated together with the gear unsafe indications. The crew aborted the approach and entered a hold to work the related checklists, an alternate gear extension was carried out. The aircraft subsequently landed safely on Portland's runway 28R about 55 minutes after aborting the first approach.

The return flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Portland for 16 hours, then positioned to Vancouver.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the Proximity Sensor Electrical Unit (PSEU).
