An Easyjet Airbus A319-100, registration G-EZDL performing flight U2-1923 from Manchester,EN (UK) to Malaga,SP (Spain), was climbing out of Manchester's runway 05L when the crew stopped the climb at 7000 feet due to the left main gear door remaining open. The aircraft entered a hold for the crew to work the checklists and subsequently to burn off fuel. The aircraft landed safely back on Manchester's runway 05R about one hour after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 4 hours, then departed again and reached Malaga with a delay of 5.5 hours.
