A Lufthansa Cityline Canadair CRJ-900, registration D-ACKC performing flight LH-1664 from Munich (Germany) to Sibiu (Romania), was descending towards Sibiu when the aircraft received a lightning strike resulting in a cracked windshield. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Sibiu.

The return flight LH-1665 was cancelled.
