A China Eastern Airbus A320-200, registration B-2413 performing flight MU-206 from Chiang Mai (Thailand) to Shanghai Pudong (China), was on final approach to Pudong Airport's runway 35L when the crew went around from about 1500 feet MSL due to an unsafe gear indication and entered a hold at 1200 meters. The crew worked the related checklists, the alternate gear indication showed all gear down and locked, and decided to perform a low approach to have the gear checked from the ground. The aircraft performed a low approach to runway 35R going around from about 100 feet MSL, ground personnel indicated all gear appeared to be in place, the crew joined a left hand pattern and landed safely on runway 35L about 13 minutes after the low approach and 65 minutes after aborting the first approach.
