An Emirates Airlines Airbus A340-300, registration A6-ERO performing flight EK-854 from Kuwait (Kuwait) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was on approach to Dubai descending through about FL100 when the crew reported a hydraulic problem and entered a hold to work the related checklists and compute the new landing performance. The aircraft landed safely on Dubai's runway 30L at a slightly higher than normal speed about 20 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Dubai about 42 hours after landing.
