S7 B763 at Novosibirsk on Feb 3rd 2016, could not retract flaps

A S7 Sibir Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration VP-BVH performing flight S7-861 from Novosibirsk (Russia) to Bangkok (Thailand) with 239 people on board, was climbing out of Novosibirsk's runway 25 when the crew stopped the climb at FL070 due to the flaps not retracting. The aircraft returned to Novosibirsk for a safe landing on runway 25 about 90 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration VQ-BBI reached Bangkok with a delay of 8 hours.

On Apr 28th 2016 Rosaviatsia reported the flaps position sensor #8 was found faulty causing the flaps to become stuck between the 1 and 5 degrees position.
