An Expressjet Embraer ERJ-145 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N626AE performing flight EV-2809/AA-2809 from Shreveport,LA to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA), was on final approach to Fort Worth's runway 17C when upon crossing the runway threshold an engine (Ae3007) ingested a bird. The crew continued for a safe touchdown and roll out and advised tower of the bird strike.

A runway inspection did not find any bird debris.

The FAA reported the aircraft sustained minor blade damage to the engine.

The aircraft resumed service about 12 hours after landing.
