An Austrian Airlines Fokker 100, registration OE-LVL performing flight OS-463 from Vienna (Austria) to Manchester,EN (UK), was climbing out of Vienna's runway 34 when the crew stopped the climb at FL100 due to a thrust reverser indication and returned to Vienna for a safe landing on runway 34 about 45 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the captain announced a thrust reverser warning activated, they were returning to Vienna where mechanics would lock out the thrust reverser.

A replacement Fokker 100 registration OE-LVF departed Vienna about 2.5 hours after landing and reached Manchester with a total delay of 3:45 hours.

On Feb 1st 2016 the airline reported that dirt on a sensor caused a false indication. The crew decided to return to Vienna due to lack of maintenance available in Manchester.
