An Air One Airbus A320, registration EI-DSX performing flight AP-742 from Venice (Italy) to Palma Mallorca,SP (Spain), departed Venice with 7 passengers less than stated on the passenger manifest listing all passengers who had been checked in. The 7 passengers were still sitting on an airport van taking them from the waiting lounge of the terminal to the parking position of the aircraft when the aircraft became airborne. The aircraft, carrying the luggage of the missing 7 passengers, continued for a safe landing in Palma Mallorca.

The airline said the additional van had not been communicated to the crew, a passenger count was not required on board. The passenger were taken to Palma Mallorca on other company flights. An internal investigation is under way.
