A Blue Panorama Boeing 757-200, registration EI-DKL performing flight BV-3277 (scheduled dep Jul 10th, actual dep Jul 11th) from Mahe (Seychelles) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy) with 130 passengers and 8 crew, was climbing out of Mahe about 18 minutes after departure when the crew declared emergency reporting a passenger window had cracked. The aircraft returned to Mahe for a safe landing about 35 minutes later.

A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration EI-DNA was dispatched to Mahe and reached Rome with a delay of 24 hours.

The incident aircraft was able to position to Rome on Jul 12th and resumed service late Jul 12th.

The airline reported the outer pane of the window at the right hand side of passenger seat row 17 cracked. Cabin pressurization was not compromised verified by continuous monitoring by the crew. Given the proximity of the departure aerodrome the captain decided to return to Mahe, the passengers were taken to hotels.
