A Blue Panorama Boeing 737-300, registration I-BPAG performing flight BV-2121 from Milan Linate to Reggio Calabria (Italy), was on approach to Reggio Calabria when a bird impacted the landing light at the left hand wing and took the light out. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Reggio's runway 15.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 6 hours before it was able to depart for the onward flight BV-2119 to Rome.
