An AirAsia Airbus A320-200, registration 9M-AFI performing flight AK-6460 from Kuching to Sibu (Malaysia) with 138 passengers and 6 crew, landed on Sibu's runway 13 at about 19:20L (11:20Z) but burst a right main tyre and damaged a runway light upon landing. The aircraft taxied to the apron, where passengers disembarked normally.

The aircraft was unable to perform the return flight.

The airport reported a runway light and a right main tyre was damaged when the aircraft landed. The aircraft taxied to the apron but was prohibited to depart again. A replacement aircraft performed the return flight. The damaged runway light was quickly repaired, no other flights were affected.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Sibu about 59 hours after landing.
