A Wideroe de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration LN-RDV performing flight WF-296 from Haugesund (Norway) to Copenhagen (Denmark), was climbing out of Haugesund when the crew stopped the climb at about FL150 and descended the aircraft to FL120 due to problems with the cabin pressure. The crew subsequently decided to divert to Sandefjord (Norway) for a safe landing on runway 36 about 35 minutes after departure from Haugesund.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 70 minutes, then continued the flight to Copenhagen reaching a maximum cruise level of FL150 and landed safely in Copenhagen about one hour after departure from Sandefjord. The aircraft continued service, the next two sectors reaching up to FL160, the third sector then reaching FL210.

The airline confirmed the aircraft had a problem with the cabin pressure and diverted to Sandefjord where the airline has a maintenance base. A frozen pipe was identified as cause of the issue.
