An Aeroflot Ilyushin IL-96, registration RA-96007 performing flight SU-2070 from Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) to Larnaca (Cyprus) with 287 people on board, burst both forward body gear tyres while landing in Larnaca and slowed safely. Upon attempting to turn off onto a taxiway the aircraft became disabled and stopped.

The aircraft was towed to the apron.

The aircraft has not yet departed Cyprus (standing Jul 11th 18:00Z, 12.5 hours after landing).

The airline hopes the aircraft will be able to depart Cyprus for its return flight SU-2071 with a delay of 14 hours.

A replacement Airbus A330-300 registration VQ-BQY was dispatched to Cyprus, departed Larnaca with a delay of 14.5 hours and reached Moscow with a delay of 14 hours.
