An Edelweiss Air Airbus A330-300, registration HB-JHQ performing flight WK-66 (dep Nov 7th) from Zurich (Switzerland) to Male (Maldives), was descending towards Male when the crew requested emergency vehicles for the landing reporting a hydraulic leak and advising they would need to stop on the runway. The aircraft landed safely in Male and stopped on the runway. The aircraft was towed off the runway, the runway needed to be sweeped and was closed for about one hour.

The return flight WK-67 was cancelled.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Male 20 hours after landing.
