A Passaredo Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-PDH performing flight P3-2270 from Belo Horizonte,MG to Ribeirao Preto,SP (Brazil), was climbing out of Belo Horizonte when a strong burning odour was noticed in the cabin prompting the crew to return to Belo Horizonte for a safe landing.

The aircraft was repaired and departed again about 2 hours later reaching their destination with a delay of 2 hours.

The airline confirmed a mechanical problem, repairs were made and the aircraft was able to depart about 2 hours later.
