A Passaredo Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PP-PTQ performing flight P3-2317 from Ribeirao Preto,SP to Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil), was on an ILS approach to Guarulhos' runway 09R when at about 5500 feet MSL, with the autopilot engaged, the aircraft tended to maintain a left bank after completing the turn to intercept the localizer. The crew disengaged the autopilot and noticed that the aileron control was not aligned, the left turn tendency remained throughout the remainder of the flight. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 09R.

Brazil's CENIPA rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation reporting maintenance found the autopilot servo actuator cable detached.
