A China Eastern Boeing 737-800, registration B-5084 performing flight MU-5759 from Kunming to Shenzhen (China), was enroute at 11,300 meters (FL371) about 180nm westnorthwest of Shenzhen (China) when the crew initiated an emergency descent to 3000 meters (FL099) due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released. The aircraft continued to Shenzhen for a safe landing about 45 minutes later.

The airline reported the bleed air system developed a fault prompting the crew to deploy passenger oxygen masks and initiate an emergency descent.
