An Emirates Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration A6-EBH performing flight EK-612 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Islamabad (Pakistan), was on approach to Islamabad's runway 30 when the aircraft was struck by a bird. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

The occurrence aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight EK-613 due to damage to the radome.

A replacement Boeing 777-300 registration A6-ENB positioned to Islamabad and performed the return flight EK-613 estimated to reach Dubai with a delay of 9 hours.
