The airport was closed for about 4 hours until the aircraft was towed to the apron.
The occurrence aircraft was able to operate the return flight BS-152 with 46 passengers and with a delay of 8 hours.
The airline reported that the aircraft had landed safely and slowed to taxi speed when the aircraft, before the runway end, attempted to turn around, the right main gear however went off the paved surface of the runway. There were no injuries. Local media reports of a runway excursion during landing resulting in six injuries, as result of damage to the right main wheels, are incorrect.
Saidpur offers a runway 16/34 of 1829 meters/6000 feet length and 30 meters/100 feet width.
US-Bangla started operations in 2014 and currently operates three Dash 8-400s, S2-AGU, S2-AGV (paint scheme as seen in photo below) and S2-AGW (all white paint scheme).
No Metars are available, the local weather station reported at 06:00L rain and thunderstorms, winds from southsouthwest at 6 knots, visibility of 1500 meters, temperature 25 degrees C, dew point 24 degrees C, at 09:00L the station reported light rain, calm winds, visibility 2000 meters, temperature 25 degrees C, dew point 24 degrees C.
