An Air Canada Embraer ERJ-190, registration C-FHOY performing flight AC-667 from St. John's,NL to Toronto,ON (Canada), was climbing out of St. John's when the landing gear did not retract. The crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet, entered a hold to work the checklists and burn off fuel and returned to St. John's for a safe landing about one hour after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance is investigating a possible weight on wheels switch at the nose landing gear.
