An American Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N395AN performing flight AA-95 from Madrid,SP (Spain) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was enroute at FL350 about 140nm northeast of Lajes Azores Islands (Portugal) when the crew declared emergency and requested to divert to Lajes reporting an engine fuel filter clogged indication for the right hand engine (CF6), the crew reported the engine was still running, they were landing overweight however. The aircraft landed safely on Lajes' runway 33 about 20 minutes later.

About 20 minutes later the crew of another American Airlines flight declared emergency and requested to divert to Lajes, too, see Incident: American B752 near Lajes on Aug 1st 2015, loss of water.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Lajes.
