An Air Berlin Airbus A330-200, registration D-ALPI performing flight AB-7001 (dep Jul 19th) from Miami,FL (USA) to Dusseldorf (Germany), was enroute when the crew received indication that the #1 and #2 main gear tyres (left forward outboard and inboard main tyres) had lost pressure. The aircraft was redirected to Cologne/Bonn (Germany), where the aircraft landed safely on runway 14L about 8.5 hours after departure.

Following the replacement of both left forward main wheels the aircraft positioned to Dusseldorf about 4.5 hours after landing and resumed service.
