The crew declared emergency and initiated a diversion to Kuala Lumpur, during descent and after landing no odour, haze or smoke was observed on board, the aft cargo smoke indication ceased, emergency services also did not detect any trace of fire or smoke prompting the crew to not initiate an emergency evacuation, but to have the passengers disembark normally via mobile stairs. No evidence of an actual fire or smoke event was found in the aft cargo hold, the smoke detector was replaced, the aircraft released to continue the flight with all cargo holds empty due to the discharge of the fire agent bottles, that were replaced in Singapore.
