An Iberia Express Airbus A320-200, registration EC-FDB performing flight I2-2410/IB-2410 from Madrid,SP to Malaga,SP (Spain), was climbing through FL210 out of Madrid when the crew received a thrust reverser unlock indication and shut the engine (CFM56) down. The aircraft returned to Madrid for a safe landing on runway 33L about 30 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.

The incident aircraft resumed service the following day about 16 hours after landing.
