A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIPL performing flight LH-1339 from Budapest (Hungary) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was on final approach to Frankfurt's runway 07R when the crew initiated a go-around due to an unsafe gear indication. The aircraft entered a hold for about 20 minutes before positioning for an approach to runway 07C. The aircraft landed safely on runway 07C, stopped on the runway and was towed off the runway.

A passenger reported that after push back in Budapest and after engine start the left hand engine was shut down and started a second time, the captain announced a stuck valve as cause. The aircraft subsequently departed and was on approach to Frankfurt when the aircraft went around from about 1000 feet (editorial note: radar data are in agreement). The captain announced a gear indication and standard missed approach. After landing the aircraft stopped on the runway and was towed to the apron.
