A Flybe Nordic Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of Finnair, registration OH-LEK performing flight AY-3745 from Helsinki (Finland) to Geneva (Switzerland) with 70 passengers and 4 crew, was enroute at FL340 near Copenhagen (Denmark) when the crew reported a cracked windshield, requested to divert to Copenhagen and requested medical assistance but no ambulance at the gate upon arrival reporting a sick passenger. The aircraft performed a normal descent and landed safely on Copenhagen's runway 04R with emergency services on stand by about 30 minutes after leaving FL340.

The remainder of the flight and the return flight were cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.

Denmark's Havarikommission (HCL) reported on Jun 29th 2012 that the crew heard a loud bang and observed the left hand windshield had cracked. The crew initiated an emergency descent and diverted to Copenhagen. Finland's Onnettomuustutkintakeskus (AIBF) is investigating the occurrence, that happened over international waters.
