A Flybe Nordic Embraer ERJ-190 on behalf of Finnair, registration OH-LKR performing flight BE-2365/AY-2365 from Helsinki to Oulu (Finland) with 41 passengers, was in the initial climb out of Helsinki's runway 04R when the aircraft received a lightning strike prompting the crew to level off at 5000 feet and return to Helsinki for a safe landing on runway 04L about 10 minutes after departure.

A replacement Embraer ERJ-190 registration OH-LKF reached Oulu with a delay of about one hour.

The incident aircraft resumed service after 28 hours on the ground in Helsinki.
