A Ural Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration VQ-BDJ performing flight U6-759 from Nizhniy Novgorod (Russia) to Prague (Czech Republic), was climbing out of Nizhniy Novgorod when the crew detected a fault with the inertial reference system and levelled off at FL270 (below RVSM airspace). The flight diverted to Ekaterinburg, the airline's home base about 560nm east of Nizhniy Novgorod in opposite direction of the flight, for a safe landing about 2 hours after departure. The aircraft departed Ekaterinburg after about 7 hours on the ground and is currently estimated to reach Prague with a delay of 11 hours.
