A Saudi Arabian Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration HZ-AS41 performing flight SV-1655 from Riyadh to Abha (Saudi Arabia), landed in Abha at 08:20L (05:20Z) but touched down hard. The aircraft rolled out without further incident and taxied to the terminal. The aircraft received substantial damage.

The aircraft continued its schedule and departed for the return flight SV-1662 to Riyadh landing without further incident in Riyadh on schedule. Only there the aircraft was removed from service.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Riyadh until August 26th 2014, then resumed service.
