A KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70, registration PH-KZN performing flight KL-1854 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was on final approach to runway 18R descending through about 600 feet when the crew went around reporting an unsafe left main gear indication. The aircraft climbed to 2000 feet and entered a hold for about 35 minutes to work the checklists, which did not resolve in a safe indication. The aircraft landed on runway 06 about 40 minutes after aborting the first approach and stopped on the runway. The passengers disembarked onto the runway and were bussed to the terminal. The aircraft was towed off the runway.
