A KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70, registration PH-KZN performing flight KL-1129 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Copenhagen (Denmark), was enroute at FL350 about 30nm south of Billund (Denmark) when the crew descended the aircraft to FL340 and returned to Amsterdam for a safe landing at a normal speed on Amsterdam's runway 18C about 50 minutes later.

A replacement Fokker 70 registration PH-KZC reached Copenhagen with a delay of 3:15 hours.

Emergency services were put on standby for the return of PH-KZN with the information that the crew had reported control problems with the elevators.
