An Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet 100-95, registration RA-89008 performing flight SU-2222 from Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) to Copenhagen (Denmark), was climbing out of Sheremetyevo's runway 25L when the crew levelled off at FL200 due to the failure of the left air conditioning system and entered a holding to troubleshoot the problem and burn off fuel. After about one hour of holding at FL200 the aircraft returned to Sheremetyevo Airport for a safe landing on runway 25R about 90 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto the next day's flight SU-2220 and reached Copenhagen with a delay of 14 hours.
