A Globus Airlines (subsidiary of S7 Sibir Airlines) Boeing 737-400 on behalf of S7 Sibir Airlines, registration VP-BTA performing flight GH-1155/S7-1155 from Moscow Domodedovo to Rostov (Russia) with 157 people on board, landed on Rostov's runway 22 in rain at about 15:45L (11:45Z) but overran the runway (length 2500 meters/8200 feet) by about 100 meters/330 feet and came to a stop with all gear on soft ground. No injuries occurred, the aircraft sustained minor damage to the nose landing gear due to impact with the approach lights runway 04. As result of the incident the airport was closed for 3 hours until the aircraft was back on paved surface and could be towed to the apron. Observer Erik, see photo below, reported the aircraft touched down about half way down the runway. The aircraft was towed back onto paved surface about 2.5 hours after landing, the airport reopened about 3 hours after the incident.
