A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DYA performing flight FR-8403 from London Stansted,EN (UK) to Brno (Czech Republic), landed on Brno's runway 28 maintaining routine communication throughout the approach, landing and taxi.

The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight FR-8404 however, a replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-EBA positioned to Brno.

A passenger waiting for the return flight reported that the aircraft had arrived and had been at the gate for about 15 minutes when airport personnel told the passengers to Stansted that the incoming aircraft had suffered a bird strike on landing. A replacement aircraft departed Brno the following early morning (at 02:15L) and diverted to London Luton Airport due to Stansted being closed at that time, touching down in Luton about 5 hours behind schedule.
